Candy by Crafty Kitten

I was surfing the internet and stumbled upon Crafty Kitten at "Cards for Every Occasion". She is giving away some Candy. A CD rom from Polka Doodles featuring stamps, digi paper  (oh my) and a lot of other goodies. I love digi paper or maybe I should say addicted to digi paper. My poor computer is full to the brim of papers. Oh and my craft room too. So it really doesn't matter whether it is digi or the real thing.....I love paper!!

Anyways if you stumbled upon me why don't you check out her blog for some candy. Just click her link on my sidebar.

Another Moving Card

Well back to the drawing board. Christy made a comment that I didn't have enough of white spaces for the Less is More challenge liking. So I have tried again. The stamp is a freebie from Karoove(http://www.karoove.co.uk/). I don't think I will mass produce this one for coloring that fence was hard to see for these ole eyes. Of course I could make a larger card for this is A2 size. Might try that right now for tonight's couch coloring. :)

Thanks for looking, Linda

Challenges

Moving

Less is More is having a challenge one layer/houses. Since we will be moving beginning of the year decided to search the internet for a digi. I could have gone through my stash of stamps and probably found something but you know really didn't want to do that. I found this stamp at Stitchy Bear Digital Stamps by Hope Jacare. Right cute isn't it. She has a lot of doodle art.
Doodle art means doodle coloring. Right? Since I have had my copics and been practicing I have spent hours blending so this was way out of my comfort zone. But I figured since I would have to do around 30 of the moving cards I needed something simple. This stamp was just right.  I think I have seen manufactured cards with the coloring like this. I think it is suppose to look like children did it. lol

Have a good day, Linda

Ice Cream and Pickles

There is a couple of challenges with shaped cards which caught my fancy. I have colored "Ice Cream and Pickles" from Saturated Canary and placed her on a shaped bottle card. I cut the card with a file from Make-the-Cut forum and cut it out with my Zing. Also Nolan was cut out with the zing. My zing let's me a cut out amazing files and I can also design my own. Could not live with out it. She also will print and cut. I could have done that with Ice Cream and Pickles but I haven't done it in awhile and I figured since I better get this card done I should cut her by hand. I did layer her hand to give a more 3D effect. I cut out patterned paper for her outfit. I saw that technique either on pinterest or saturated-canary blog. Not for sure but thanks for the inspiration to that person. Lettering was also glittered and than covered with crystal effects. Her eyes also have crystal effects.

Thanks for Stopping, Linda

Faith in Nature

This is inspired by Less is More challenge Autumn. The saying reminding me that although flowers are hidden spring will bring them back. Meaning my flowers are gone because it is Fall; but I shall see them soon when Spring arrives again.
My upline sent me this stamp set. Isn't she nice? Although right now I am a hobby demonstrator I hope that I will change my status in the Spring. Right now I am having fun using their products. They do have beautiful stamps.  If you are looking to purchase something just click on the Stampin Up on the side bar.
This was stamped in Early Espresso and colored with my copics. The sentiment I used my Stampin Up markers. And used the huff technique. (coloring the stamp, then huffing on it to reactivate the color). The side I punched with Martha Stewart and then backed it with Early Espresso card stock. This ribbon is Celebrate. It is such a pretty brown.

Thanks for stopping by, Linda

Leaves

Well not for sure on this card. Less is More challenge today is "Autumn".  This was going to be one of those quickie cards. That is if you now how to tie a bow. It always takes me as long to get the bow like I like it than it does the whole card. The layers and mats are all done in whisper white. The layers are edged with Chocolate Chip Marker. I just took edge of marker around the edge of the mats and embossed the leaves. Not for sure if that shows up in the picture. I think I'm going to look through my stamps  and see if something inspires me to do another one.

Stamps: Leaf unknown, Stampendous
Ink: Chocolate Chip, Night of Navy
Paper: Chocolate Chip, Whisper White

Butterfly Baby Take Two

Like I said I love Saturated-Canary Digi's. I was on Pinterest (again) and saw this card done in gray copics and I said to myself I gotta try it. So I lowered the black scale to gray through my paint program. And then used N copics to shade and then added a touch of pink to her lips. The close-up shows Baby  has put her lipsick on above her lips, Oh My. I also added chrystal effects to her eyes to make them sparkle.

Fancy

Oh I just love Saturated Digi Stamps. And I desperately want to win one of these challenges that offer them as prizes. lol. Fancy was colored with Copics all but her hair. I don't have any of the cool grays that so many youtube videos use. So I tried the flicking with black but my marker was thick lines nothing like the video I watched. So I tried my black Stampin Up marker and had better control. But now that I am looking at this picture she looks like she has gray hair peeking through. I differently need more practice and the c Copics. ANY SUGGESTIONS WOULD BE APPRECIATED. The roses are from Recollections and they are so pretty. Of course I had to have every color. They also come in the smaller ones too.

Thanks for looking and have a good day, Linda

Ava

I just love Saturated Canary digital files. Ava was a free file for awhile. I think she posted yesterday on her facebook page that she was going to take her off. I almost reduced her too small for these old eyes. The papers are again from Nitwit Collections digital papers. The paper flowers are Recollections and sentiment Stampin Up Warmest Regards. And of course copics. I also layered the balloon to add a little more depth. I think I'm getting better in coloring. I have used colored pencils in the past so there is definitely a different learning curve.

Thanks for looking, Linda

Log Cabin Quilt

I stumbled upon this challenge Case Study Challenge blog and immediately wanted to enter. This week challenge is SEW. And I thought of log cabin quilts, why? I have no clue. So I printed some digital papers from Nitwit (I love her papers) and started my quilt. I had to google the dimension but they were easy to follow. All my strips where cut 1/2". I stamped Creative Elements, punched flower out with SU Flower punch, layered the bird and flower for some dimension. The layering for the flower punch was imported from My Digital Studio svgs into Make-The-Cut software. I enlarged a little and viola! I am also entering this into Simon Says Stamp Challenge Dies and Punches and also Sketch Saturday Week 229.

This was a fun card with the quilting. I think I will try another one with bright colors.

Have a Good Day, Linda

Oh Baby!

When I saw Less is More challenge was One Layer Wings it gave me permission to head over to Saturated Canary and buy Butterfly Baby.  Isn't she sweet? I also decided just to print the greeting too since it was also one layer challenge. I was hoping the close-up would show her eyes. I used Chrystal Effects which made them look glassy.  Thanks for looking.

Happy Stamping, Linda

Thinking of You

Well you see I'm not to creative when it comes to naming my cards. Maybe that will come in time. I have already broke my promise to myself, a card a day. Oh well! So I was visiting blogs and saw this challenge at Runway Inspired Challenge #21. The problem was only had 4 hours. I tell myself I can do it and I did. I really did not know where this card was going. The border from Boarding on Romance was on my desk so I started there, then sentiment and then before I knew it was done. For a quickie card I think it turned out right nice. Thanks for looking.

Happy Stamping, Linda

Mr. & Mrs in Silver

My second card of the evening! I will be entering this card in Less is More challenge. The challenge beside being clean and simple is using silver in your card. The sentiment is embossed in silver and I have used silver ribbon.

If I keep this blog going "hope so" then you will here me talk about "Make-The-Cut" software and a Zing cutter. I trashed my cricket cutter along time ago when I found out that you can create without buying cartridges. In this card and the previous card I created this circle punch file and then cut it on my Zing. This software and cutter does a wonderful job. It will PNC (print 'n cut), pixel trace, import svg's and much more. Now Stampin Up sells their svg files. Creativity endless!

Thanks for Stopping by, Linda

Keep your fingers crossed. I would be so excited if they should pick my card! The challenge is "Pink Plus One More". I have used pink and brown card stock and brown ink. FIRST

No matter how old you are there are still first. I will have to admit they do get farther and farther apart. But tonight is my FIRST day of posting on my new blog. I have also decided to enter into some card challenges. I am going to post them tomorrow. I am a little worried about not linking correctly. The host of the challenges say no back linking or something like that. But what are they going to do send the blogging police after me.

I do not understand all the gadgets that I add to the side of this page. I got one up to take you to Stampin Up so you can order something from me. I tried the catalogs but it just put the picture up. Oh well I'll eventually figure it out.

If someone stumbles upon me please do not laugh to hard, for I am just a 54 year old woman living in a high tech world. So maybe you could just humor me!
